Information about OASIS and WS-I

OASIS Members:

We would like to inform you that OASIS and the Web Services Interoperability
Organization (WS-I)  are in negotiations to transition WS-I assets and
operations to an OASIS Member Section. This is subject to all necessary
approvals and a definitive agreement being reached between our two
organizations. 

WSI is an open industry organization chartered to establish Best Practices
for Web services interoperability, for selected groups of Web services
standards, across platforms, operating systems and programming languages. 

A decision on the Member Section is expected to be made by the end of May.
OASIS and WS-I will issue a joint public announcement when arrangements have
been finalized.
