OASIS names 2010 Distinguished Contributors 

William Cox, PhD., Eduardo Gutentag, Anthony Nadalin, and Sanjay Patil were
named as OASIS Distinguished Contributors in recognition of their
significant contributions to the advancement of open standards. We
congratulate these outstanding individuals for their impact on the global 
information society.

OASIS Board and TAB nominations close soon

All members are encouraged to nominate qualified candidates or consider
serving on the OASIS Board of Directors or Technical Advisory Board. Six
seats on the Board of Directors and four seats on the Technical Advisory
Board will be filled by election next month. Nominations close 14 May.

CMIS 1.0 becomes OASIS Standard

Members have approved the Content Management Interoperability Services
(CMIS) version 1.0 as an OASIS Standard. CMIS enables information to be
shared across enterprise content management repositories from different
vendors. Congratulations to the CMIS TC chair, David Choy, and to all TC
participants including representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM,
ISIS Papyrus, Microsoft, and Oracle, as well as Adobe, Alfresco, ASG, Booz
Allen Hamilton, Day Software, dotCMS, EMC, FatWire, fme AG, Liferay, Nuxeo,
Open Text, SAP, Saperion, and WeWebU for this accomplishment.

WS-Trust for Healthcare 1.0 profile public review begins

Produced by the Cross-Enterprise Security and Privacy Authorization (XSPA)
TC, this profile describes a framework in which WS-Trust is balanced to
satisfy requirements pertaining to information-centered security within the
healthcare community. The public review ends 26 Jun.

KMIP specifications public reviews begin 

The reviews include four Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP)
specifications: Usage Guide 1.0, Specification 1.0, Profiles 1.0, and Use
Cases 1.0. These documents provide directions for developers and architects
who wish to design systems and applications that interoperate using KMIP.
This public review ends 14 May.

Recording of Annual General Meeting is available 

Members may download a recording of the 30-minute AGM webinar, presented on
20 and 21 April 2010. The AGM provides a report from the OASIS Board of
Directors and executive management on the consortium's accomplishments,
financial position, and vision for the future.

OASIS seeks to hire Senior Developer/Sys Admin

The consortium has a full-time job opening for an experienced developer of
free and open source software. Major responsibilities include developing an
integrated member management and group collaboration tool.

Members receive discount at OASIS Blue Connect 

The ConnectivityWeek conference will feature the second annual OASIS Blue
Connect program, 24-27 May in Santa Clara, California. Open standards
projects related to security, energy, intelligent buildings, and natural
resources will be showcased. Attendees will learn existing electronic
commerce standards and the power of the Internet can be leveraged to achieve

OASIS eGov hosts webinar on 'Driving Open Government'

The Gilbane Group and OASIS eGov Member Section will host a free, one-hour
webinar addressing the role standards can and do play in delivering on the

Governments.
