Nominations open for Distinguished Contributor Award

Each year, OASIS recognizes the contributions of outstanding members
through the Distinguished Contributor Award program.  All OASIS
members are eligible; members are invited to submit nominations before
the deadline of 18 Apr. Final selection will be made by staff.

TC approves PLCS DEX R5 as Committee Specification

Members of the Product Life Cycle Support (PLCS) TC have approved PLCS
Data Exchange Sets (DEX) as a Committee Specification. PLCS DEX RE5
provides structured data exchange and sharing capabilities to support
complex engineered assets throughout their total life cycle.

SAML 2.0 Kerberos Attribute Profile public review begins

This specification describes a Security Assertion Markup Language
(SAML) attribute profile for requesting and expressing Kerberos
protocol messages. This public review ends 27 Mar.

OASIS presents EDXL webinar

On 14 Apr, the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) Technical Best
Practices webinar will explore how the EDXL standards work together to
enhance interoperability and information sharing capabilities in the
emergency management and response domains. This one-hour webinar is

CMIS TC presents at AIIM info360 conference

Ryan McVeigh of Zia and David Choy of EMC will discuss the current
state of the Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) OASIS
Standard and present an interoperability demo encompassing Alfresco,
IBM, Microsoft, Nuxeo, Open Text, and Zia. The event will be held in
the Microsoft Pavilion on 23 Mar at 10:00am in Washington, D.C.

eGov Member Section elects Steering Committee

Harm Jan van Burg of the Netherlands Ministry of Finance, Bob Sunday
of the Government of Canada, Colin Wallis of the Government of New
Zealand, John Borras, and Steve Mutkoski of Microsoft have been
elected to two-year terms on the OASIS eGov Steering Committee. OASIS
congratulates these individuals and expresses deep appreciation to
departing MS Steering Committee member, Bill Barnhill of Booz Allen
Hamilton.

LegalXML holds elections for Steering Committee

Elections are now underway for two seats on the LegalXML Member
Section Steering Committee.  LegalXML brings legal and technical
experts together to create standards for the electronic exchange of
legal data. All eligible Member Section participants are invited to
vote before the deadline of 22 Mar.

The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Law, which
will be held 6 Jun in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, includes a special focus on
aspects of contracts such as enterprise modeling, e-business rules,
and procedural rules.  OASIS members are encouraged to submit papers
for the conference before the deadline of 20 Apr.
