2012 Board and TAB elections now open

The annual election of Board and TAB members is underway and you can
play an important role.  The OASIS Boards are entirely selected by our
members, and are not based on financial contributions, technical
status etc.

This year, Members have nominated ten candidates to fill six seat on
the board.   We have candidates from three continents, representing
large and emerging technology firms, we have independent consultants
and a university researcher/professor.  All the candidates offer
valuable experience and  insights and are worthy of your careful
consideration. Your challenge is help select those that will help lead
your OASIS in the future.

Of special note this year, members submitted a robust series of
questions which the candidates have answered,[2]  And new this year,
the board asked that we publish a summary of their meeting attendance
[3]  With all these resources and the availability of the candidates
for further discussion, you should be able to make a well-informed
decision.  Those members who are eligible to cast a vote on behalf of
their organizational membership will have access to the board ballot
[4] until it closes 15 June.

The Technical Advisory Board election is also underway.  With one
candidate and two open seats your vote is helpful to confirm the
selection and endorse the candidate.  The TAB ballot [5] is available
to eligible voters until it closes 15 June.

All members are encourage to express their opinions on the publicly
archived member-discuss mail list [6]
