Balloting for the Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) 1.1 is now underway and will close 23 May. CMIS defines a domain model and Web Services, Restful AtomPub and browser (JSON) bindings that can be used by applications to work with one or more Content Management repositories or systems. The specification was developed by representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM, Microsoft, and ISIS Papyrus, as well as Adobe, Alfresco, Booz Allen Hamilton, EMC, HP, Liferay, Magnolia, Nuxeo, Open Text, Oracle, SAP AG, and others. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on CMIS.
