Greeting OASIS Members,
the recently revised Member Section Policy [1], which governs the optional Member Sections, has greatly simplified the Steering Committee election process. BUT the process requires strict adherence to the following schedule-- so please take note.
All Steering Committees will open nominations on 1 September.
Nominations will close on 15 September. NOTE the new policy does not provide for the nomination period to be extended--all nominations MUST be received in this period.
Voting will take place 16-30 September in Steering Committees with contested elections. If there is no contest (ex: 3 candidates seeking 3 seats) there is no election, the candidates are automatically selected.
A separate message will be sent to each Member Section identifying the open seats available and detailing the nomination and election process.
Any member wishing to join a Member Section or otherwise modify their Member Section affiliation(s) should send instructions or questions to
member-services@oasis-open.org.
