OASIS Staff Updates

Dear Members,

Iâd like to share some recent updates regarding the OASIS team. Iâm delighted to announce the promotions of Cathie Mayo Figenbaum to Chief Financial Officer and Kelly Cullinane to Senior Director for Standards Development at OASIS. Cathie and Kelly have demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and leadership in their respective roles. In addition, Iâm very pleased to introduce the newest member of our staff, Holly Petersen, who joins OASIS as our Business Development Manager.Â

Cathie has been an integral part of OASIS since 2003, initially joining as a staff accountant. Having witnessed the evolution of OASIS through the years - from embracing Technical Committees (TCs) and Open Projects (OPs) to hosting Foundations - she brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to her new role. As CFO, Cathie is responsible for providing leadership and coordination in all financial aspects of OASIS and serves on the Board of Managers for three of OASISâ associates: OASIS Open Development Foundation (OODF), Samvera, and the Open Mobility Foundation (OMF). Her extensive experience includes managing financial statements, budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, annual audits, and serving as the human resources liaison. In her role as Senior Director for Standards Development, Kelly oversees the project administration team and the stewardship of all TCs and OPs. Kelly assists in the development of new projects as well as serves as the point person for all ongoing TCs and OPs. In this capacity, she is available to all members who have questions about OASIS processes, project best practices, and more. Kelly first joined OASIS Open in January 2023 as a TC Steward after years working in the tech sector where she managed a portfolio that included government research grants, private sector clients, and internal projects. As our Business Development Manager, Holly focuses on promoting open standards and facilitating collaboration among industry stakeholders to solve complex challenges and drive technological advancements. With over a decade of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, and project management, she leverages her expertise to forge impactful relationships and drive organizational growth.
