OASIS News 21 October 2005 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international standards consortium. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Consortium Issues Call for Participation for New OASIS WS-SX TC This week, OASIS issued a Call for Participation in the new OASIS Web Services Secure Exchange (WS-SX) TC. The mission of this TC is to define extensions to the WS-Security OASIS Standard to enable trusted SOAP message exchanges involving multiple message exchanges and to define security policies that govern the formats and tokens of such messages. The inaugural meeting will be held in Redmond, WA, USA, 7-8 Dec. Microsoft will be sponsoring the meeting. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/200510/msg00007.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Public Review of XRI Syntax Commences The OASIS Extensible Resource Identifier (XRI) TC recently approved XRI Syntax 2.0 as a Committee Draft and submitted the package for public review. XRI Syntax is a royalty-free, URI-compatible scheme and resolution protocol for abstract identifiers used to discover and share resources across domains and applications.
