Subject: Groups - New Action Item #0007 Provide guidance on whether curr...
OASIS Open Building Information Exchange (oBIX) TC member, Toby Considine has created a new action item. Number: #0007 Description: Provide guidance on whether curr... Owner: Mary McRae Due: 07 Nov 2009 Comments: Toby Considine 2009-10-25 14:25 GMT OBIX contracts are complex interactions built upon oBIX semantics and vocabulary, and invoked at once. oBIX contracts can bedefined on the fly. Vendor specific interactions are created as product-specific contracts. The plan has long been to also have Standard oBIX contracts to address particular vertical needs. Such contracts could have additional semantic weight and expectations. Current standard contracts anticipated include Energy Interoperation, JSON, ATOM, RSS, WS-Calendar, and EISA. This moves oBIX beyond a focuus on the small tight core, and to a number of industry and business process focused standards. What si the best structure to do this w/i OASIS? SHould oBIX v2 be on a different committee, as was done with ER?
