Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (ODATA-277) Define ordering sequence per value of the collation attribute
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/ODATA-277?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=32657#action_32657 ] Ralf Handl commented on ODATA-277: ---------------------------------- Actually I wonder what the purpose of this attribute is. It says "treat this string property for ordering purposes as if it were of the following primitive type". Why would I do that instead of just using that type for the property? How would I sort values that cannot be interpreted as literal representations of the specified type? Where would I sort "Fred" with Collation="Boolean"? > Define ordering sequence per value of the collation attribute > ------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: ODATA-277 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/ODATA-277 > Project: OASIS Open Data Protocol (OData) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: OData CSDL > Affects Versions: V4.0_WD01 > Reporter: Ralf Handl > Priority: Minor > Fix For: V4.0_WD01 > > > See summary -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
