[OData Version 4.01. Part 2: URL Conventions (oasis-open.org)|http://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata/v4.01/odata-v4.01-part2-url-conventions.html#sec_AlternateKeys] describes the use of alternate keys as a substitute for primary keys, but doesn't say where they can be used (i.e., just as part of the canonical url or in any collection).
