The term description does not state how closely the data types of the boundaries have to match the data type of the model element they are applied to, especially if the boundaries are provided via a [value path|https://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata-csdl-xml/v4.01/odata-csdl-xml-v4.01.html#sec_ValuePath].

It should be sufficient if the two types can be [cast|https://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata/v4.01/os/part2-url-conventions/odata-v4.01-os-part2-url-conventions.html#sec_cast] to each other,
