All XML DTDs (and Schemas, for that matter) written to conform to XML 1.0 conform to XML 1.1. What XML 1.1 does is allows more characters to be in names (such as element and attribute names) than XML 1.0 does (in particular, characters that weren't in Unicode when XML 1.0 was published). Other than that, there are really no big differences between XML 1.0 and XML 1.1, and in fact few people will notice that XML 1.1 exists in practice. paul
