I have three questions which were not answered in the FAQ. 

1. Do you test applications to make sure they:

a. can properly open and save OpenDocument files?
b. can properly open old OpenDocument files (saved by older versions of applications)?

2. Do you plan to structure the OpenDocument 2.0 standard so that old, OpenDocument 1.0-only applications can open OpenDocument 2.0 files?(perhaps with a warning displayed onscreen, when opening files with 2.0-only features, that "you may lose newer features if you resave")
