Subject: odf 1.1 4.1.1
If a heading has a numbering applied, the text of the formatted number can be included in a <text:number> element. This text can be used by applications that do not support numbering of headings, but it will be ignored by applications that support numbering. Perhaps 'the text to be used instead of an automatically generated number' can be included .... might be clearer? No definition of 'has a numbering applied' is available . Should <text:h text:is-list-header="false" >Heading</text:h> be used for this purpose? Unclear if there is any semantic interpretation of this value for this attribute. How can it be determined programmatically that an application 'does not support numbering of headings'? Untestable paragraph or implementation dependent? regards -- Dave Pawson XSLT XSL-FO FAQ. http://www.dpawson.co.uk
