Comment:

The first sentence specifies the general rule for objects with an XML
representation. Then, in response to the defect,
the details of the storage of such objects was added.

It may well be that a fully re-drafted version would further polish this
section but as it stands the response answers the original question.

Comment:

The defect pointed out a critical oversight in the prose, which was
deeply appreciated.

However, correction of that oversight matters more than stylistic
niceties that would be observed in a complete re-drafting. I do
appreciate such insights but as you well know, such polishing is like
pulling a thread that leads to another thread and then to another.
However satisfying that may be, our public corrections to text to be in
response to the corrections requested, not as licenses to correct all
offenses against good style that may or may not appear in a text.

Ah, I read:

"Insert into the list immediately before 15.36.1:" as meaning to insert
the values at the end of the list that terminates before 15.36.1.

You, on the other hand, are reading it as saying to insert the values in
the list but we don't say where, which could lead to different listings.

I will suggest to the TC that the language be changed to read:

"Insert at the end of the list located in 15.36 the following values in
the order shown:"

Would that clarify the instruction?

The "errata" has been approved by OASIS and I am not sure what process
is open for an errata on an errata document.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Patrick
