Subject: config:config-item-map-entry underspecified (ODF all version)
Dear ODFers, In 2.11.5 we have: ----b The <config:config-item-map-entry> element represents an entry in an indexed or named settings sequence. ----e * What is a "an entry in an indexed or named settings sequence" for? How does this differ from a plain "setting"? * It should be stated that the *name* of this thing is specified by the content of the config:name attribute (assuming this is the case). * Are there any constraints on names (can two be the same? At different levels of nesting maybe?) for any names that must be unique, why is the name not an ID? * There seems to be a suggestion from the name that a "map" is being described here. In what sense is this true (do not all config-item things constitute map?) * How is it envisaged the nesting of similar structures permitted here should be used? -- Alex Brown Convenor, ISO/IEC JTC 1 SC 34 WG 1 Editor, ISO/IEC 19757-5 (Extensible Datatypes)
