Subject: <text:a>behaviour? (ODF all versions)
Dear all, <text:a> can have an @xlink:show attribute. In 18.917 we learn that for <text:a>, "the values for this attribute are new and replace." This is not clear, and implies the attribute has two default values. Should this not say that if this attribute is present 'either the value "new" or "replace" shall be specified' ? (i.e. it should be made clear that there is a choice of whether to have this attribute or not, and that then there is a choice of one of two values). The spec does not say what the semantics of the link are, if this attribute is absent. It probably should. The spec does not say how these values are to be interpreted if present. It probably should (as XLink leaves this open). - Alex.
