Subject: Embedding IP/license information possible?

Greetings!

Apologies for the very delayed response!

On April 25, 2007 (I said it was delayed!), Marcus wrote:

The new metadata mechanism supports *any* metadata that you wish to
attach either to a document as a whole or to parts of a document. For
example, attaching IP information to a document as a whole and more
specific licensing information to either quoted text or images.

In ODF 1.2 we have defined the *mechanism* for the attachment of such
metadata. It may be possible in the future that the TC will undertake to
define meatadata such as IP or licensing metadata for use with ODF
documents. That will be a decision made by the ODF TC.

Apologies for the extreme delay in responding.

Hope you are having a great day!

Patrick
