Subject: [ODF 1.2] Comment missing, whether error values are propagated
Hello members, this is a comment to part 2. In 4.6 you find, "Functions and operators that receive one or more error values as an input shall produce one of those input error values as their result, except when the formula or operator is specifically defined to do otherwise." Such "specifically defined" is done in function 6.13.6 COUNT, "Errors are not propagated." for example. The functions ISBLANK, ISERR, ISERROR, ISFORMULA (not in Excel), ISLOGICAL, ISNA, ISNONTEXT, ISNUMBER, ISREF, ISTEXT, and TYPE do not propagate an error in OOo, LibO, Gnumeric, and Excel. The functions ISEVEN and ISODD propagate an error value in OOo, LibO, Gnumeric and Excel. The functions ISERR and ISERROR and ISNA have the comment, "Note that this function does not propagate Error values." The functions ISBLANK, ISFORMULA, ISLOGICAL, ISNONTEXT, ISNUMBER, ISREF, ISTEXT, and TYPE do not have such a comment. They should get such a comment too. Having no such comment leads to confusions like http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=118236 Kind regards Regina
