Correct.

My point was simply to show that it provides an anchor of sorts to  
more cleanly associate in-package metadata with that span. It not is  
how RDFa is used in HTML, but that's because there all metadata is in  
the content.

There may well be better ways, but I just wanted to emphasize that  
using URIs for association of this sort is emanently natural. That  
was primary point.
