I would like to keep the first sentence, because it makes clear(er) that we are refering to styles a concept within the user interface rather than to formatting properties that very often are refered as styles as well. I would also like to keep the last sentence because it explains where the name "common" comes from. For that reason, I've change the paragraph to Most office applications support styles within their user interface. Within OpenOffice, the XML representations of such styles are referred to as styles. When a differentiation from the other types of styles is required, they are referred to as common styles. The term common indicates that this is the type of style that an office application user considers to be a style Is that okay for you? > > Hope everyone is having a great day! > > Patrick > Michael
