Attendees --------- Duane Nickull <dnickull@adobe.com>, Adobe Systems Robert Weir <robert_weir@us.ibm.com>, IBM Nathaniel Bornstein <nborenst@us.ibm.com> Gary Edwards <garyedwards@yahoo.com> Lars Oppermann <lars.oppermann@sun.com>, Sun Microsystems Florian Reuter <florian.reuter@sun.com>, Sun Microsystems Michael Brauer (chair) <michael.brauer@sun.com>, Sun Microsystems Yue Ma <mayue@cn.ibm.com>, IBM Regrets: Tom Acceptance of Minutes from Last Call ----------------------------------------------------- - Correction: Last week's minutes had Tom in the attendees-list. Tom sent regrets and did not attend the call. - The attending TC members unanimously accepted the minutes. Action Items ------------ Michael: create errata document - ongoing Michael: contact LegalXML TC - done Lars: clarify open database issues with developers - done, see below Discussion ---------- Planning for September (and October): There will be no call on September 5th (labor day) (There will be no call on October 3rd (german national holliday)) Legal XML Michael has received a 70-pages requirements document. Database Proposal Password: this is to be removed from the schema. Storing passwords for a backend in a document which represents the frontend makes no sense. Classpath: This is a classpath that tells the application how to find a JDBC driver. It has no implied relationship to any other aspects of a java system that might be used in the application. Wording in the spec should reflect this. Action: Lars to propose a wording for this. Datatypes: Lars discussed the datatype issue concerning SQL/internal datatyes with the development team of the OpenOffice.org database application. Defining driver specific refinements for datatypes does not help to solve any problems in datatype selction. A user would still have to select new refinements when he tries to migrate from one driver to another. The proposal is thus left as is in this respect. Meta Data After finishing with the database proposal, extensions to OpenDocuments meta data mechanism will be the next topic for the TC. Everybody should post their thought/ideas or requirements for this to the list, in order for the TC to get Material for a discussion. New Action Items ---------------- Action: Lars to propose a wording for classpath attribute in database proposal All: post thoughts on meta-data Next conference call -------------------- 2005-09-12 3PM GMT – 4:00PM GMT Lars Oppermann --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mail list, you must leave the OASIS TC that generates this mail.
