We used the "record changes" feature of OpenOffice.org to create our 
report.  If you show those changes (or look at the PDF edition of our 
submission), you will see text to add in red, and text to delete in red 
strikethrough.

Also it should be the case that those text attributes are reported by 
StarOffice & OpenOffice.org to screen readers.
