Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (OFFICE-1543) Editor Note: Section17.472.22 <text:variable-set> (style:data-style-name)
Editor Note: Section 17.472.22 <text:variable-set> (style:data-style-name) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key: OFFICE-1543 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1543 Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC Issue Type: Bug Reporter: Robert Weir Transcribed from ODF_Revised_Editorial_Notes_27May2009.odt Original author: Patrick Durusau Section 17.472.22 <text:variable-set> (style:data-style-name) Ed. Note Not at all sure about the name matching data style requirement. Not a bad idea but why not use reliable referencing and make it uniform? Oliver says: "In my opinion the content of a <text:variable-set> also reflects the application of the style to the set value. Thus, not in all cases the content exactly equals the value stored in the attributes. E.g. the value of a variable of type float is "42". This is stored in attribute office:value="42". But, the applied style defines that the variable should be displayed with the minimum of 4 digits. Thus, its content would be "0042". Thus, the sentence, referenced by the ed. note, is correct. But, I do not know, if its part "..., which can be empty if the text:display attribute is set to none." is needed.
