Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (OFFICE-1740) Editor Note: Section17.497 style:lines

Editor Note: Section 17.497 style:lines

----------------------------------------

                 Key: OFFICE-1740
                 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1740
Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Robert Weir

Transcribed from ODF_Revised_Editorial_Notes_27May2009.odt

Original author: Patrick Durusau
Section 17.497 style:lines

Ed. Note The text "If the value of this attribute is 1 or 0, drop caps is disabled." is incorrect. Datatype is positiveInteger. Do we mean to have a priority of style:lines over style:drop-caps? I don't have any feelings one way or the other but we should be explicit about that choice.

Oliver says: "Yes, if data type is positiveInteger, then value 0 does not make sense.

If a drop cap only spans over one line, then the drop cap is displayed

as normal text, which somehow means there is no drop cap. I think that

was the reason for the text, that the drop cap is disabled, if it spans

only over one line. "
