Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1641) Editor Note: Section17.278 form:focus-on-click
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1641?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=11560#action_11560 ] Patrick Durusau commented on OFFICE-1641: ----------------------------------------- OK, let's see if we can unpack the notion of "grabbing" focus. Do you mean that the form:focus-on-click attribute being set to true, means that if it is chosen by some means (more on that in a moment) that it is capable of having the focus in a form? That in other words, there may be form buttons might not have this attribute and so could not ever have the focus in a form? Moreover, do we can how a form button is chosen? So long as it is chosen? That is do we mean to limit the input method to a mouse or nothing for forms? Assuming the attribute documents the capacity of a form button to have the focus in a form, what about: "The form:focus-on-click attribute specifies whether a form button control can have the focus in a form when chosen by a user." That leaves out how the user chooses it and simply says that if chosen, the form button can have the focus. Note I missed this under the camera attributes but we use "focus" to mean different things and never define the term in either case. I am not a fan of the definition section practice, which is in fact not required but do think we need to define these terms in context when they are to be used. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
