Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1610) Editor Note: Section17.529 svg:d

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1610?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12378#action_12378 ]

Michael Brauer commented on OFFICE-1610:
----------------------------------------

Regarding Patrick's comment: Supporting only a subset seems also to be justified to me. If an implementation stores a path using the SVG syntax even if it cannot import all SVG path constructs, then other implementations anyway know how to interpret the data. Which means, although it is of cause always best if all SVG path constructs are supported, there is also a value using the same attribute if only a subset is supported.

Regarding Dennis' comments:
re 1: Agreed.
re 2: It may not be required, but I anyway think that a simple note that not all SVG path constructs may supported may be helpful anyway. At least, it does not hurt.
re 3: This note indeed relates to the use of svg:d with <draw:connector> only.
re 4: This note should be combined with the previous one.
