Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1756) Editor Note: Section18.168 draw:visible-area-height

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1756?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12664#action_12664 ]

Michael Brauer commented on OFFICE-1756:
----------------------------------------

As Christian said, we cannot really say whether or not a particular object implementation can provide the visible area (when a document is saved) or allows to set it (when a document is loaded). This depends on the object type itself and the implementation.

Suggestion: Change first paragraph to

The visible area of an object may be specified by the draw:visible-area-height attribute along with the draw:visible-area-left, draw:visible-area-top, draw:visible-area-width attributes. It is implementation defined whether these attributes are used to specify the visible area, or whether the implementation of the object stores the visible area within the object itself.

Remove last paragraph.

This change has to be applied also to draw:visible-area-left, draw:visible-area-top, draw:visible-area-width

> Section 18.168 draw:visible-area-height
> Ed. Note: What is meant that "Not all objects support these attributes."? Do we not specify them or do some applications not support them? Not the same thing. In some future revision, simply specify the rectangular area with one attribute with a structured value. See draw:visible-area-left, draw:visible-area-top, draw:visible-area-width for the same language.
