Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1667) Editor Note: Section17.456 smil:repeatDur

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1667?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12772#action_12772 ]

Michael Brauer commented on OFFICE-1667:
----------------------------------------

I agree that referencing the SMIL specification is sufficient to explain the meaning of the attribute.

Regarding the schema: I've checked how SMIL defines the attribute value. It states in the description that the value is either 'indefinite' or a Clock-value. The Clock-value is described by a BNF in 10.3.1 of the SMIL specification. The schema anyway defines the attribute as "string", most likely because it is impossible to map the BNF to an equivalent description.

Because the SMIL schema itself defines the attribute value to be a "string" (as ODF does), I suggest that we keep it a string. But we may add the following sentence to the specification:

The value of the attribute can be "indefinite", or a clock-value as defined in $10.3.1 of SMIL.

> Ed. Note We define as a string and SMIL says it is "duration in element active time to repeat the simple duration." Sounds like it depends on the elements time. Yes?
