Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Updated: (OFFICE-1344) Public Comment:<text:sequence> behaviour (ODF all versions)

Oliver-Rainer Wittmann updated OFFICE-1344:
-------------------------------------------

    Proposal:
Replace text in 6.4.13
"Once a sequence variable has been declared, it can be used in sequence fields throughout the document. Most sequence fields simply increment and display the sequence variable. However, sequence fields can also define a new start value at any given position in a document. This start value is computed using a formula which is contained in the sequence field. If a sequence field does not specify a start value, the sequence variable shall be incremented by one. ."
by
"A <text:sequence> element specifies a sequence field.
A sequence field changes the value of a sequence variable by a given formula and displays the changed value of the sequence variable in a given format. The sequence variable is referenced by its attribute text:name. The formula is given by its attribute text:formula. The display format is given by its attributes text:num-format and text:num-letter-sync.
The main purpose of sequence variables and the sequence fields are to continuous number certain document elements, e.g. tables or images. For this main purpose the formula is something like "<name of sequence variable>+1". It is also possible to set the sequence variable to a certain value, e.g. a formula like "42" or not to change the value of the sequence variable, e.g. a formula like "<name of sequence variable>".

I have corrected a minor typo in my proposal
