I remember we added that because a public comment said that if the mathematical formula given was implemented straight forward the algorithm would lead to numerical instability due to cancellation errors. Which is correct, but we do not define how a given formula is to be implemented in an algorithm.
The wording "be wary" may need be reformulated.
"Deleted until rewritten" usually is not a good approach because then we may lose details or context.
