Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2322) Input Constraintsfor Arabic Function

Patrick Durusau commented on OFFICE-2322:

Andreas,

Should we say what happens when an invalid argument is passed generally? Or do we need to specify that for individual formulas?

I have heard the argument that some evaluators may accept arguments that we don't define/allow. All well and good but by definition they are accepting expressions that do not conform to OpenFormula. Nothing prohibits that, but it may result in documents that don't travel well.

> It's unclear in the spec (5.19.2) whether "non-traditional" roman numerals are supported as input strings. For example, are things like IIIV or IIVI expected to work? The spec needs more detail here.
