Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2326) Treat all typesequally, i.e., no pseudotypes
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2326?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17815#action_17815 ] Andreas Guelzow commented on OFFICE-2326: ------------------------------------------ I agree that "if a function requires DateParam, passing it a Basis should result in an error" is not correct. All spreadsheet implementations seem to do automatic conversions and a basis is converted by them into a DateParam if required. On the other hand I don't think that this implies that we need to distinguish between types and pseudotypes. I find that that distinction isn't clear anyways (e.g. logical seems to be of type character in some and pseudotype character in others. I could imagine having an implementation with a true complex type.) > Treat all types equally, i.e., no pseudotypes > ---------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-2326 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2326 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: OpenFormula > Reporter: Patrick Durusau > Assignee: Patrick Durusau > Fix For: ODF 1.2 Part 2 CD 2 > > > We currently have types and pseudotypes. The latter does not appear to serve any meaningful role. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
