Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2287) BETADIST[NEEDS-DISCUSSION]

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2287?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=18050#action_18050 ]

Andreas Guelzow commented on OFFICE-2287:
------------------------------------------

Eike, I thought we were not giving algorithms intended for implementation. If we do we should determine whether any of the two formulas is in fact useful for implementation. I believe an implementor should on their own determine which in their circumstances is the best implementaion formula.

A mathematician would never give to definitions for the same term. (And a standard is not the place for theorems.)
