Subject: RE: [office] Choice of Authoritative ODF Format for Specifications
I was being careful in my choice of wording. Said more slowly: I speculate that the current editable form of ODF 1.2 specification documents, although produced by a specific OO.o 3.2.0 implementation, will hold up as Conforming OpenDocument [1.2] Text Documents when the OASIS ODF 1.2 Standard is approved. That observation is about those instances and is independent of how OO.o 3.2.0 might be assessed eventually as a Conforming OpenDocument [1.2] Consumer or a Conforming OpenDocument [1.2] Text Document Producer. There are ways I might be mistaken about that, essentially if gratuitous "1.2" content of the current documents is removed from the specification or changed in an incompatible way between now and approval of an OASIS ODF 1.2 Standard. - Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Andreas J. It is known that OpenOffice 3.2 does not create files that match the current ODF 1.2 specs, for example see the bug report http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=102690 that I filed over a year ago. I don't know whether the ODF 1.2 specification contains any such issue. it does not seem to be affected by the bug mentioned above.
