Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Updated: (OFFICE-3081) 19.512style:rel-width, 19.512.3 <style:column> first paragraph repeats thesecond, delete.

Patrick Durusau updated OFFICE-3081:
------------------------------------

       Proposal:
Delete from first paragraph: "The column widths are specified as number values instead of lengths. To get the absolute column width, the space that is available for a columned area is distributed among the columns proportional to these numbers."

Reform second paragraph to read: "Column widths are specified as relative widths, that is, a number followed by a "*" (ASTERISK, U+002A) character. The total space available for the entire table is distributed among its columns according to its relative width. "

was:Delete: "The column widths are specified as number values instead of lengths. To get the absolute column width, the space that is available for a columned area is distributed among the columns proportional to these numbers."

    Description:
19.512 style:rel-width, 19.512.3 <style:column> first paragraph repeats the second, delete.

Reads: "The column widths are specified as number values instead of lengths. To get the absolute column width, the space that is available for a columned area is distributed among the columns proportional to these numbers."

Said more precisely in the following paragraph. Delete.

Additional comments/proposal.

Note variant use of "terms" in the second paragraph. Elsewhere used to mean words. And we don't have to say what we are not doing.

Reads "The column width is not specified in a percentage length, but rather in terms of relative weights,.."

Suggest: "Column width is specified as relative weights, that is, ..."
