Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3107) 8.1.4<text:toc-mark> "...marks a non-enclosed location.." -> "...marks anon-hidden location..." Yes?

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3107?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=20261#action_20261 ]

Michael Stahl commented on OFFICE-3107:
----------------------------------------

errm, no, it's not about hidden or not.

what is meant here is a point location.

e.g. if a mark includes some text that's an "enclosed location":
  <toc-mark-start id="1"/>foo bar<toc-mark-end id="1"/>

but if the mark is just for a point then it's a "non-enclosed location":
  foo <toc-mark/> bar

probably a better term is needed.
how about "point location" ?
