Just for the record, OOo apparently hides its tab colors in a config:config-item, for example
<config:config-item config:name="TabColor" config:type="int">16711680</config:config-item>
which is inside a config-item-set that seems to refer to the appropriate table.

So OOo does not seem to consider it either a style attribute or a data attribute.
