Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2872) NEEDS-DISCUSSION20.24 chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seeminsufficient
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2872?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=21336#action_21336 ] Dennis Hamilton commented on OFFICE-2872: ----------------------------------------- Andreas, True. I can't imagine where else control points would come from but in a drawing situation, although they do determine functions, just in an odd way. I suppose I should stop talking through my hat and look up chart:interpolation. OK, did that. The problem is this applies to <chart:plot-area> and these are drawing properties in some sense. Although I think you are safe in assuming that this is how points are connected by lines and/or curves. That is, the lines are interpolated through specified points that are charted values. Not sure how that applies to a scatter diagram unless it is the through the points about which the scatters occur (from a regression perhaps?).. Is this how you are viewing this? > NEEDS-DISCUSSION 20.24 chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seem insufficient > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: OFFICE-2872 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2872 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Chart > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 CD 05 > Reporter: Patrick Durusau > Assignee: Andreas Guelzow > Fix For: ODF 1.2 CD 06 > > > 20.24 chart:interpolation - definitions of b-spline and cubic-spine seem insufficient > Read in full: > "b-spline - B-Splines.
