If we look at current implementations and I try
=AMORDEGRC(2400;DATE(2008;8;19);DATE(2008;12;31);300;n;0.15;1)
then Gnumeric and OOo give the same answers for n=0,1,2,...,6 and according to a website on Excel, it gives the same answer at least in teh case n=1.
On the other hand, the values for
=AMORDEGRC(20000;DATE(2008;1;5);DATE(2008;12;31);2000;n;0.2;1) n=0,1,2,...,7
are completely different between Gnumeric and OOo so apparently they are using different coefficients in some ranges.
Moreover in both examples if one add all amortization amounts one get results that exceed the expected value of 2100 and 18000 respectively.
