Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2924) 20.79dr3d:normals-kind - flat, object, sphere

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2924?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=21408#action_21408 ]

Michael Brauer commented on OFFICE-2924:
----------------------------------------

Patrick, your suggestions are okay.

Regarding: "I am assuming these are specified using other dr3d attributes on objects?"
The normals are not directly specified by using other dr3d attributes but the normals are taken from
the geometry. The term "normal vector" is perfectly defined in the context of 3d geometry so no
additional specification is needed.

> Now reads:
> "flat: forces one normal per flat part.
> object: does not produce standard normals, but leaves the object-specific ones untouched.
> sphere: forces normals to behave as the object would be a sphere."
> Suggest with some questions:
> "flat: one normal per flat part.
> object: apply object-specific normals (I am assuming these are specified using other dr3d attributes on objects?)
> sphere: normals behave as if an object is a sphere.
