Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (OFFICE-3537) Confusion betweendefinition of attribute style: layout-grid-standard-mode and style:layout-grid-mode wrt Asian layout grid

Confusion between definition of attribute style: layout-grid-standard-mode and style: layout-grid-mode wrt Asian layout grid
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: OFFICE-3537
                 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3537
Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Styles
Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 CD 05
            Reporter: Cherie Ekholm
            Priority: Minor

In reviewing how to implement ODF 1.2, one of our teams came across the following question:

"The note in the definition of style: layout-grid-standard-mode states this attribute ensures that a single mode is used for the whole document; however, it appears that this statement may not always be true. The standard says that the attribute style: layout-grid-standard-mode can only be used in the default page layout, but the attribute style: layout-grid-mode - which can be on any page layout - can change the type of Asian layout grid applied to a given page. Could you clarify if the note in the definition of style: layout-grid-standard-mode should always hold true and how this impacts the usage of style: layout-grid-mode?"
