"auto" actually is not defined for <table:consolidation>. It is not listed in the schema. It appears indeed in the gray box in the editor's draft 07, because the gray boxes haven not been updated there. This happens only when generating a product version from an editor's draft. I'm sorry for the confusion this caused.

I've checked a product version which I've generated from the editor's draft. Everything is fine there.
