Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3715) Public Comment:Proposal for new file format

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3715?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=26933#action_26933 ]

Robert Weir commented on OFFICE-3715:
--------------------------------------

This would more typically be done by defining a XML format for a resume. But this might be hard to do in general, since a resume for a fashion model is likely very different in structure and contents than a resume for a software engineer.

An interesting approach might be to use the existing RDF/RDFa mechanisms to tag parts of the document that are relevant to a resume consumer, e.g, name, address, skills, etc. Annotate at that level and then use duck typing to tell if a given document is a resume.
