Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3716) Public Comment:Change tracking in the proposed ODF 1.2 standard

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3716?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=26979#action_26979 ]

Robert Weir commented on OFFICE-3716:
--------------------------------------

ODF 1.2 uses the change tracking mechanism that was previously approved by ISO/IEC JTC1, both in the approval of ODF 1.0 as well as the approval of the ODF 1.1 amendment. This approach has been clarified in the ODF 1.2 specification in several areas based on comments received. It still has functional limitations and a subcommittee has been created in OASIS to evaluate how best to address change tracking in a future revision.
