Subject: Uploaded latest draft, plus report
- From: Patrick Durusau <patrick@durusau.net>
- To: ODF TC List <office@lists.oasis-open.org>
- Date: Wed, 2 May 2018 20:08:38 -0400
Greetings,
In addition to uploading the latest ODF drafts, I created a report in
HTML format to show all the issues applied in the last week.
Oddly there is no export to spreadsheet format (former JIRA exported to
Excel '97 I think it was).
Unless I'm missing a setting (entirely possible if not likely).
But, the HTML report should suffice for present purposes (attached).
Hope everyone is having a great week!
Patrick

Key Summary Affects Version/s Proposal
OFFICE-3935
Define relationship between default values and inheritance.
ODF 1.2 Change last paragraph of section 16.2 from
"In all other cases, or if a value for the formatting property has not
been found by any of the family specific rules, a default style 16.4
that has the same family as the style initially declared sets the value.
If there is no value specified in that default style, an
implementation-dependent value is used."

"In all other cases, or if a value for the formatting property has not
been found by any of the family specific rules, a default style 16.4
that has the same family as the style initially declared sets the value.
If a value has not been found by these steps, but this specification
defines a default value, than this default value is used. In all
remaining cases an implementation-dependent value is used."

improve 20.130 draw:gradient-step-count
ODF 1.2 Proposed text:
The draw:gradient-step-count attribute specifies the gradient step count
of a color interpolation.
* Value 0 means that the step count is automatically calculated based on
the size and resolution of the filled area.
* Values 1 and 2 shall not be used.
* Values of 3 or greater mean that the step count is this fixed value.
A gradient step count of color interpolation may be above 256.

Re-add text from v1.0 about
ODF 1.2
Add
"The is especially used by spreadsheet
applications, where it is a common use case that a covered cell
contains content."
to
9.1.5
OFFICE-3863
description of attribute style:class is incorrect
ODF 1.2 Simply revert the description to that of 1.1.
A style may belong to an arbitrary class of styles. The class is an
arbitrary string. The class has no meaning within the file format
itself, but it can for instance be evaluated by user interfaces to show
a list of styles where the styles are grouped by its name.
OFFICE-3845
Unclear if tabulator positions are being inherited among styles
ODF 1.2 17.7
append the sentence:
If a style contains a element, it overrides the entire
element of the parent style such that no
children are inherited; otherwise, the style inherits
the entire element as specified in section 16.2
.
OFFICE-3844
Semantics to function IF part 2, section 6.15.4, does not cover all
syntax variants and is ambiguous in at least one case
ODF 1.2 Proposal:
Semantics:
Computes Condition. If it is TRUE, it returns IfTrue, else it returns
IfFalse. This function only evaluates either IfTrue or IfFalse, and
never both; that is to say, it short-circuits.
Seven versions are possible:
One parameter:
a) IF(Condition)
Two parameters:
b) IF(condition;)
c) IF(condition;IfTrue)
Three parameters:
d) IF(condition;;)
e) IF(condition;;IfFalse)
f) IF(condition;IfTrue;)
g) IF(condition;IfTrue;IfFalse)
If there is only 1 parameter (case a), IfTrue is considered to be TRUE()
and IfFalse is considered to be FALSE(). Thus the 1 parameter version
converts Condition into a Logical value.
If there are 2 parameters (cases b and c), IfFalse is considered to be
FALSE(). If there are 2 parameters and the second parameter is null
(semicolon but no IfTrue, case b), IfTrue is considered to be 0.
If there are 3 parameters but the second parameter is null (two
consecutive ;; semicolons, cases d and e), IfTrue is considered to be 0.
If there are 3 parameters but the third parameter is null (semicolon but
no IfFalse, cases d and f), IfFalse is considered to be 0.

ODF 1.2-1 section 9.1.8 Description Not Meaningful
ODF 1.2 Replace the single paragraph in section 9.1.8 with the following:
"The element specifies a sequence of one or more
elements with optional
