Subject: user-defined datetime vs other datetime, timezoned or not ?
One other thing I stumbled upon: ODF 1.1, 3.1.9 (meta:creation-date) says "To conform with [xmlschema-2], the date and time format is YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss" (= so that would be local time, without timezone) Now, a meta:user-defined can also be a datetime, but 6.7.1 (office:value-type) only talks about [xmlschema-2] 3.2.7, without explicitly specifying a format. The nasty bit is that xsd:dateTime can have a timezone suffix, which is very useful of course. So while I _assume_ the datetime in ODF 1.1, 6.7.1 (and 0DF 1.2, 17.2.1.3, for that matter) is also meant to be YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss, it would actually make more sense to allow implementations to optionally specify a timezone on all datetimes, like meta:creation-date and meta:user-defined. This boils down to just use xsd:dateTime without additional restrictions. (I'll send it to the office-comment list) Best regards, Bart
