Subject: RE: [oic] Groups - ODF11_Interop_Profile-wd01.odt uploaded

Hi,

I've started an "interoperability profile" for ODF 1.1

VERY preliminary, but I'd like to get some general feedback on these
assumptions:

- input should come from vendors and from the events like the plugfest
(see also my document on the interaction between the plugfests and TC's)

- the "roadmap" would be to start with a small document, have it approved
as an Committee Draft, get more feedback, create another CD etc

So we would have a CD at semi-regular intervals (say every 2/ 3 months,
"release early, release often"), perhaps once in a while we might want to
move it forward to a Committee Spec, but the goal is to have a somewhat
formal document that addresses interop issues without having to wait for
the next version of the spec (same can be done when ODF 1.2 is approved)

- in addition to add more constraints to ODF documents, it also specifies
some additional "behavior" for implementations (like preserving certain
elements, updating or setting some elements)

Best regards,

Bart
