Why is Google Docs better than a Wiki in this case?

Why choose when you can have both? Google have a very impressive Wiki product too called Google Sites and while it is available to any holder of a free Google Account storage space is limited to 100Mb unless you go for Google Apps in which case you get a more than adequate 10Gb.

Given I already spend most of my days deploying Google Apps at large enterprises I am more than happy to contribute a domain and the time it takes to set it up (which is not long incidentally) to this worthy cause. Unless anybody particularly objects I'll come back shortly with details of how to get in and get started as I personally think it would be a lot better to have this important project on solid, secure infrastructure than a standalone instance of a competing product. I'll happy hand over said domain if the group feels there's a better custodian and in any case the service is accessed using google.com URLs.

Anyone interested in helping out with administration (eg adding users) please contact me off list,

Kind regards,

Sam
